Zirconium Coatings

In zirconium crowns, the underlying structure is made of white metal, which provides better aesthetic properties, especially for the front teeth, compared to porcelain crowns with metal substructures. Zirconium material has high fracture resistance, making it an excellent choice for back teeth as well.

Unlike porcelain crowns, discoloration similar to the purple appearance around the gum line and the cervical region of the tooth does not occur with zirconium crowns. Zirconium materials are biocompatible materials that have a harmonious fit with the natural tooth color due to the light reflection from below. They also have highly satisfying aesthetic features in terms of gum compatibility.
