Clenching and Grinding Teeth

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a complex structure located just in front of the external auditory canal, between the fossa (cavity) beneath the temporal bone and the condyle of the lower jaw. It consists of multiple ligaments and muscle structures.

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, which are highly prevalent in our society, significantly impact individuals' quality of life with symptoms such as frequent pain in the jaw and head area, restricted mouth opening, various undesirable sounds during mouth opening, back and neck pain, and more. If left untreated, all these symptoms tend to progress, potentially causing permanent damage to the structure of the temporomandibular joint, which is highly undesirable.
